5 star rated hotel is anything but a 5 star hotel.
Location in the city. Location to our favorite restaurant. Had a bus to the canton fair.
Horrible. The pictures of the room and facilities were not correct. The bed was harder than concrete, mildew/mold growing on the ceilings resultinng in musty smell, bugs in the shower, cigarette smoke everywhere, terrible elevator and air conditioning, could see the wallpaper making the room feel cheap, and more. We had high expectations about staying in the Asia International Hotel. When we complained about the beds upon checking in, they told us that it was not their fault. We also moved rooms because the first room had a terrible musty smell. The second room was not much better. Swap the musty smell for cigarette smell and you have our new room. The answer as to the beds being as hard as they were was that "many of their customers prefer hard beds". Our experience for the 6 nights we were there was absolute crap. We will not recommend even our worst enemy to stay there. To call this hotel a 5 star hotel also makes us believe that nobody actually has visited this hotel. There is no way in hell that this hotel should be more than 2.5 stars. In the past we have stayed in our hotels in Guangzhou that are 4, 4.5, and 5 star hotels. All of them have been wayyy better than this. We except some sort of credit/refund for our terrible experience. What will be the resolution?
